In this week’s Microsoft IT news, we have some exciting updates regarding three important news items. 1. Microsoft Teams: Closed captions in the Walkie Talkie app 💗 Microsoft Teams is launching live closed captions for any audible transmission in the Walkie Talkie app. This feature will convert spoken words into text in real time, making it easier to hear Walkie Talkie transmissions in a busy frontline work environment. The closed captions will be concise and limited to two lines at a time, for easier reading on the go. This feature will be available to all users to turn on if desired. 2. Microsoft Teams: Custom emojis and reactions 💗 Users will soon be able to add their own custom emojis and reactions in Microsoft Teams. They can upload an image or GIF file to create custom emojis and reactions, which will be accessible to all users in the tenant. Up to 5,000 custom emojis can be added per tenant. This feature will be turned on by default, and admins can manage the feature through the Teams Admin Center. 3. Microsoft Stream: Interactivity analytics 💗 A new feature in Microsoft Stream provides audience engagement metrics on interactive videos. Users with edit access to a Stream video that contains links, polls, or callouts will be able to see the number of unique viewers, the percentage of viewers who interacted with the video, and the average number of interactions and attention time.
